I know nothing about the dynamics of walking to the north pole so my question will undoubtedly reflect that.

Since reading that Rosie could not go on because of melting ice due (I assume) because of global warming, will anyone ever be able to succeed at duplicating a walk to the pole?

Thanks Meg, I'll pass on your message to Rosie. It's important for her to know just what her journey meant to people right now and I'm with you absolutely on the importance of coming back!

I'm sorry to hear Rosie didn't make it, I'd been hoping she would. What she's done is a tremendous accomplishment and I hope she's very proud and not disappointed about it. All great voyages are two-way trips. Coming home is as important as setting out.
